An exciting Young Associates event is planned for Saturday, December 1 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. New Art, Old River will juxtapose the traditional Hudson River school of painting with contemporary counterparts. The evening’s guest will be Carl Van Brunt, who owns Van Brunt Gallery in Beacon, and represents Colin Barclay, one of the hottest artists of the new Hudson River School. Carl will show participants what makes the new school of painting so exciting and current. New Art, Old River will take place amidst the current PCHS–FSM exhibition "This Perfect River-View": The Hudson River School and Contemporaries in Private Collections in the Highlands. Cocktails will be served.

The event is free for Young Associates members, the newest PCHS-FSM membership branch. The event fee for non-members is $30 per person or $45 per couple. Please call (845) 265-4010 for more information. We are grateful to Randi & Howard Davis and Karen & Michael Speller for hosting what promises to be a fun-filled evening.
